I am a Manchester native artist and educator, living in with my husband and cats.
I love teaching and sharing my passions with others from ages 3 to 83.
I went to the Art Institute of Boston and studied photography and fine art. I still love to take pictures, but spend a large amount of my time creating all sorts of things. I also attended Northeastern University to get my Master’s in Elementary and Special Education.
I enjoy bookmaking and boxmaking, a skill I learned in college, and make all of my own journals and/or sketchbooks. I enjoy filling these books with a combination of drawing, writing, and zentangling.
I love handbuilding monsters with ceramic, but after loss of access to a kiln, I moved my focus into creating creatures with felt roving. Needle felting and wet felting are such amazing ways to practice sculpture in the comforts of your home.
Overall, I am enthusiastic about sharing my passion for creation with individuals of all learning styles. I like to encourage the learning of technical skills while exploring the creativity and expression that comes with making art.
